About Alexander
Alexander Galasso is an environmental compliance and sustainability professional with extensive public and private sector experience ensuring organizations meet regulatory standards while integrating sustainability focused practices into all areas of operations. Prior to his role here in San Diego, Alexander worked for the City of Los Angeles’s Recreation and Parks Department as a Sustainability Analyst, helping to develop a blue bin recycling program for Griffith Park and Waste Management as a Hazardous Waste Compliance Project Manager overseeing multiple refineries and manufacturing sites throughout the Los Angeles and Orange County area. In his most recent role, Alexander oversaw all environmental and sustainability operations for Yosemite National Park, leading efforts for Yosemite to be the first national park to remove all single use plastics from its operations. Passionate about creating a greener future, he is dedicated to developing sustainable solutions that balance environmental responsibility with business success. Outside of work, he enjoys connecting with nature whether hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, surfing or landscape and astrophotography, exploring new travel destinations and always looking to find local hot spots for great cuisine.
