Jeremy Bauer

Jeremy led the public process leading to San Diego’s first ever fee for City-provided residential trash and recycling collection services. He provides senior leadership support for ESD’s Collection Services Division, home of the Department’s sanitation drivers, and the Waste Reduction Division, helping to advance the City’s diversion goals through education and enforcement. He previously served over 18 years with the Federal Government, including 2 years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua and more than 16 years with the U.S. EPA. Jeremy holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental geosciences from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Virginia Tech.
