About Joshua
Joshua Keyton has worked for the County of San Diego’s Department of Public Works since 2019, from Student Worker to County Contractor to Recycling Specialist, Joshua has worked diligently on the County’s construction & demolition recycling program, compost bin voucher, and compost procurement programs, the legislative analysis team, and the SB 1383 team which is responsible for the education, implementation, and enforcement of SB 1383.
He is now a Recycling Specialist II for the County’s Solid Waste Planning & Recycling section, co-managing the County’s edible food recovery program for the unincorporated region and assessing compliance with local and state recycling requirements at commercial businesses and multi-family complexes. Joshua was also a recent recipient of the County of San Diego’s 2024 H.E.A.R.T. Award for Excellence in Public Service.
