Liz Murphy

Liz Murphy is the founder and director at Sustainability is Sexy, a local San Diego environmental non-profit providing event waste diversion and sustainability education to the community and beyond. Liz is also the chef and owner of Santosha Nutrition, a zero-waste, plant based food business bringing farm-to-table experiences to San Diego. After 10 years in the hospitality industry, Liz was inspired to find solutions to waste in our local food systems and combined her passion for cooking with her experience in events. She founded the non profit, SIS, with the help of local eco-preneurs to provide a space for sustainable business and the community to connect. Since its founding in 2021, Sustainability is Sexy has helped local events divert over 7000 pounds of recycling and organics away from our landfills and waterways.
