About Romi Rossel & Fiorella Borkert

Sisters Fiorella Rossel Borkert and Romi Rossel have worked together since 2018 to develop their sustainable product line and upcycling company, dedicated to diverting waste from landfills.

Fiorella, known as “Fio,” is a Creative Upcycler, Product Designer, and Product Development Specialist passionate about reducing plastic waste through fashion. A graduate of FIDM with honors in Apparel Industry Management, she honed her skills in Los Angeles’ fashion industry before moving to San Diego. Her journey in sustainability began in 2018 when she crafted her first tote bag from an upcycled Weyermann malt bag, sparking the creation of The Bountiful Bag. Today, Fio combines her love of craft beverages with her creative drive, designing functional, stylish products from recycled materials to inspire sustainable change.

Romi Rossel, Co-Founder of The Bountiful Bag, brings her expertise as a Photographer and Marketer. When Fio introduced her upcycled bags, Romi saw an opportunity to merge her skills with a mission to promote sustainability. She now uses her visual and media talents to educate the community on sustainable practices and to promote The Bountiful Bag as an avenue for awareness and change. As Marketing Director, Romi forges partnerships with environmental nonprofits and corporations, helping drive the company’s mission to inspire environmental responsibility through creative, impactful products.
