Jacky Brown joined the Goodwill San Diego leadership team in 2008 as the Director of Retail, Aftermarket, and Bookstores. Jacky is recognized for many accomplishments including the growth of the organization’s revenue-producing departments and sustainability initiative. Jacky became a member of the Executive Team in 2017 as Vice President of Retail. In this role, Jacky is responsible for the strategic management of Retail, Aftermarket, eCommerce, and Sustainability Departments. With more than 28 years of retail and nonprofit experience, Jacky understands the social enterprise model and is determined to generate as much revenue as possible to support the heart of the organization – its mission to provide training and employment to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. She is passionate about the organization’s integrated workplace and is motivated to transform lives. 

Jacky earned her Master of Business Administration in 2022 from the University of Phoenix. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Diego Christian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. In 2023, she is expected to complete Goodwill Industries International’s (GII) Executive Development two-year program, in 2018, she completed GII’s Senior Leadership Program, and in 2008, Jacky earned a Retail Management Certificate from Grossmont College. 

In 2013, Jacky received an Outstanding Leadership and Service Award from the San Diego Rescue Mission, her previous employer and in 2022, she received the Richard Nelson Award for her commitment to Goodwill’s mission. She is also an active member of the Pathfinders Lions Club and serves as the 2nd Vice President of the club. Jacky sets time aside to participate in Zero Waste initiatives and is the catalyst for sustainable initiatives at Goodwill San Diego. She enjoys collaborating with several recycling groups and jurisdictions. 

Jacky spends her free time with her four children and enjoys walking and reading. Her three sons graduated from San Diego State University and Western Governors University. Her daughter is currently studying at the University of Phoenix. Jacky has placed tremendous emphasis on her education and believes she has imparted this belief to her children.
