Chris Vasquez

As an Environmental Specialist within the City of Carlsbad’s Sustainable Materials Management Division, Chris Vasquez works with local commercial businesses and multi-family dwellings to ensure compliance with all applicable local and state laws and regulations. In addition to these duties, he assists with the Fixit Clinics that are held in the city with the help of Zero Waste San Diego and performs inspections of hauler vehicles to ensure they meet city standards when it comes to safety and educational signage. He also fields all submissions from the city’s Sustainability Regulations Violation Complaint Form. He has his bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from California State University San Marcos and is always looking to advance his knowledge and skills as an Environmental Professional.
