Renee Robertson

Renee Robertson is the Director of the Environmental Services Department (ESD) for the City of San Diego.  She started her career in recycling and zero waste working directly with the founding members of Zero Waste San Diego.  ESD recently implemented a huge citywide rollout providing weekly organic waste collection to all city-serviced properties and awarded a design-build for a new organics processing facility to compost all the organic waste.  Renee is a graduate from Point Loma Nazarene University, holding a B.A. in Philosophy and a M.A. in Religion.  She lives with her wife and son and loves surfing and spending time in wild places.
